Alliance of American Football Players Give Back

We are proud to announce a new relationship with the Alliance of American Football (AAF). The AAF is a brand-new professional football league started by some of the biggest names in the game. The Alliance will feature high-quality football, and it starts with over 500 combined years of NFL experience in Alliance head coaches, general managers and league officials, including Pro Football Hall of Famer Bill Polian, Super Bowl XL MVP Hines Ward, Eight Time Pro-Bowler and a Six Time All-Pro selection Troy Polamalu and Former NFL Coach Mike Martz, just to name a few. We have already begun working with the teams and are looking forward to creating meaningful volunteering opportunities for both teams and individual players.

This January, during the league’s preseason training in San Antonio, our team had the honor of conducting 8 workshops – one for each of the league’s teams: Arizona Hotshots, Atlanta Legends, Birmingham Iron, Memphis Express, Orlando Apollos, Salt Lake Stallions, San Antonio Commanders and San Diego Fleet. We were so impressed with the conversations that took place during each of these sessions.

The week after we presented the teams, we connected teams to local San Antonio based organizations over a 3-day period. Friday, the Atlanta Legends and San Antonio and Hines Ward, Head of AAF Player Development, participated in a Starlight Children’s Foundation visit at University Children’s Health Hospital and members of the San Diego Fleet took part in an Active School visit at Walker Elementary School. Saturday, players from the Salt Lake Stallions went to the Ronald McDonald House to work on beautification of the property and San Antonio Commanders went pack toys for kids of military families for Operation Homefront. Sunday, players from the Orlando Apollos, Memphis Express and Arizona Hot Shots spent the afternoon building food boxes for needy senior citizens at the San Antonio Food Bank.
