What if the greatest assist never happened on the court? For 20 years, Athletes for Hope has stood behind athletes who choose to use their platform for something bigger than the game — and Stephen Curry is one of them. This video traces Stephen’s journey to becoming the philanthropist he is today — from a kid who looked up to giants like Muhammad Ali and Alonzo Mourning, to watching his own father, Dell Curry, lead with generosity and grace both on and off the court. Those early lessons never left him. Through Eat. Learn. Play., the foundation he and Ayesha Curry launched in 2019, Stephen has helped provide 25 million meals, remodel over 23 schoolyards, and commit $25M to close the literacy gap for 10,000 Oakland students. This is what it looks like when athletes show up for their communities. Twenty years in, the movement is only growing.
Follow Stephen Curry’s example and let’s make a difference together!
Your platform is powerful. Use it to make a difference.

Since 2006, Athletes for Hope has mobilized thousands of athletes to serve, lead, and inspire change in communities nationwide. As we celebrate our 20th anniversary, we honor the leaders—past and present—who have helped shape a movement rooted in service, wellbeing, and hope.
