Internship Description: We are looking for an CHAMPS team intern to assist us in building successful relationships with nonprofits and matching professional athletes with charitable opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a strong
interest in philanthropy, knowledge of sports, and strong research skills.
Responsibilities: In this role, the intern will perform a variety of research, writing, and administrative tasks, including:
- Assisting with AFH programs, specifically the CHAMPS program
- Researching charitable opportunities around the country for professional athletes
- Maintaining and updating a database of charity and athlete profiles
- Initiating relationships with charitable organizations
- Performing administrative duties, including answering phones, filing, and data entry
Employment Details: The Athletes for Hope internship is a remote position with a length of 3 months. The exact start date
is flexible, and hours and wages will be discussed during the interview process.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proficiency with computers and software
- Strong communication and research skills
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills
- Familiarity with the sports and nonprofit industries a plus
