Summary
Athletes for Hope is seeking a part-time Digital Media Intern to support the digital content marketing for the organization for the fall 2025 semester.
This person should have a passion for the intersection of sports and philanthropy. He/She/They should have a strong understanding of social media best practices, the digital landscape and a knack for knowing what separates the best content from the rest. An ideal candidate will be an organized, proactive, creative thinker and a willingness to learn.
Strong writing skills and knowledge of social media are required with journalism and public relations experience (through school or another internship) is a bonus. Responsibilities
- Work closely with AFH Marketing team on current digital media content creation and execution
- Coordination with AFH Athlete Engagement team to reach out to athletes for storytelling opportunities
- Sourcing for athlete content for digital storytelling purposes
- Additional content creation (strategy and execution) beyond AFH’s current scope, including:
- Written articles for the website
- Expanding reach of social media platforms through innovative digital strategies
- A weekly or monthly podcast
- Additional mutually agreed-upon responsibilities based on workload, interest and AFH organizational needs
Employment Details
- Position is remote
- Position is paid hourly and/or can serve as school credit (can be adjusted to mutually agreeable parameters if needed)
- Hours are flexible throughout the week but will be mutually agreed upon prior to internship start date
- Internship start date is August 2025 with a flexible end date in December 2025
