November 3, 2008 - Dasan Robinson of the Chicago Fire Hosts the First Annual Dasan Robinson Soccer Tournament at General Robert E. Woods Boys and Girls Club in Chicago

The 1st Annual Dasan Robinson Soccer Tournament was held at the General Robert E. Wood Boys & Girls Club in Chicago during the week of October 27th through November 3rd. There were 8 teams with 4 players competing in the tournament, so everyone was able to play a great deal of matches. There were many excited supporters - parents, friends and neighborhood children - who came to the gym to cheer on their favorite teams.

Dasan attended the first day of the tournament to kick things off. He served as a guest referee and spent time with the kids encouraging good sportsmanship and healthy competition.

All the children played wonderfully. The final match between Manchester and Chicago Fire was a heated match. The two teams were tied until the very end when Manchester pulled out a victory goal to end the game with a score of 6-5. The winning team received trophies and medals. All of the kids received participation medals.
