The 3rd Annual Putt for Passion Golf Tournament presented by Thrivent brought together an inspiring community of athletes, supporters, and advocates for a memorable day. Held in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, the event raised $140,000 in support of Athletes for Hope’s mental health programs: Whole Being Athlete and CHAMPS.
This year’s tournament welcomed 26 golfer foursomes, marking our largest participation to date. The day also featured a spirited Celebrity Putting Competition, with a special congratulations to AFH Board Member and Olympic Gold Medalist Benita Fitzgerald Mosley for taking home the top prize!
We were honored to have strong representation from our Board of Directors and Advisory Board, and are deeply grateful to all who attended, contributed, and championed our mission to support athlete mental well-being through sport.

Revisit the 2nd Annual Putt for Passion Golf Tournament
On Monday, May 20, 2024 Athletes for Hope held its 2nd Annual Putt for Passion Golf Tournament at Kenwood Country Club in Bethesda, MD. Together, we raised over $140,000 from the event to support AFH’s mental health programming, Whole Being Athlete and CHAMPS. This means that AFH will be able to:
- Help 200,000+ young people from underserved schools develop their mental health skills
- Feature stories and panel conversations to raise awareness about athlete mental health
- Activate hundreds of athletes around mental health advocacy campaigns
- Educate athletes, coaches and communities about unique mental health challenges faced by athletes
- Connect national leaders to create legislative change to support the mental health of athletes at all levels
