Athletes Leading Change in Mental Health.
Through lived experience, research, and advocacy, the Athlete Mental Health Alliance amplifies athlete voices to drive systemic change and build a national plan for mental health in sport.
Athletes have lived the pressure. Now they’re shaping the solution.
The Athlete Mental Health Alliance (AMHA) exists to elevate athlete voices and turn lived experience into action—challenging the systems that have too often failed to support mental health in sport.
By bringing together athletes, research, advocacy, and partners, AMHA is working toward a national approach to athlete mental health—one designed with athletes, for athletes, to create lasting change across all levels of sport.

A Week of Action, Storytelling, and Support
Thank you for joining us for Athlete Mental Health Week. Your engagement and openness helped make this week a powerful step forward for athlete well-being.
Athletes for Hope was proud to partner with Hilinski’s Hope, the Kevin Love Fund, Morgan’s Message, The Hidden Opponent, and the Sarah Shulze Foundation to raise awareness, break stigma, and share meaningful mental health resources with athletes nationwide.
Athlete Mental Health Week is for all athletes, at every level. If you missed any sessions—or want to revisit them—we invite you to watch the panels from the week and continue the conversation.
Thank you for being part of the movement.
The Athlete Mental Health Alliance (AMHA) amplifies athlete voices to drive meaningful change in how mental health is supported across sport. Centered on lived experience, AMHA brings together athletes, research, advocacy, and partnership to shape a national, athlete-informed approach to mental health—built with athletes, for athletes.
Through collective action, AMHA is working to elevate the athlete voice beyond the field and into policymaking spaces. In 2023, Athletes for Hope hosted its first Athlete Mental Health Advocacy Day at the U.S. Capitol, where athletes shared their stories directly with lawmakers—advancing the vision of a National Athlete Mental Health Bill of Rights and moving closer to mental health protections for all athletes.
