AFH University Expands to Three New Campuses

Athletes for Hope (AFH) is proud to announce the expansion of AFH University (AFH U) to three new campuses this fall: Long Beach State, Loyola Marymount University, and George Washington University.

With this growth, AFH U now reaches even more college athletes, connecting them to meaningful service opportunities in their local communities. From tackling food insecurity to mentoring youth, AFH U helps athletes channel their passion for sport into service — building a culture where giving back is just as important as the game itself.

To kick off the year, AFH hosted Empowerment workshops led by AFH CEO Jason Belinkie and AFH University Assistant Director, Sara Keane with multiple teams at each new campus, introducing student-athletes to the program and preparing them to engage meaningfully in community service. These workshops are designed to help athletes explore their passions, understand their potential impact, and build leadership skills that extend far beyond the playing field.

This expansion is supported by AFH partner Thrivent, whose ongoing collaboration helps fuel AFH’s ability to create nationwide opportunities for student-athletes to serve. Learn more about the partnership.

As AFH U expands, more athletes will have the chance to make an impact through service projects, mentorship, and community partnerships, continuing to build leaders who use their platforms for good.
