Hospital Heroes Program
Since 2007, Athletes for Hope has connected professional, Olympic, and collegiate athletes to children’s hospitals around the U.S. In total we’ve facilitated more than 800 athlete in-person visits to more than 70 hospitals. However, as a result of COVID-19, in-person visits are currently not an option. In response, AFH has been arranging virtual hospital visits for AFH Members with existing hospital partners. Within the past 18 months, AFH arranged virtual visits for Eric Kendricks (Minnesota Vikings), Alyssa Naeher (US Women’s National Soccer Team), and Ethan Pocic (Seattle Seahawks) at different children’s hospitals around the U.S.
AFH will continue to develop and expand our Hospital Heroes program both virtually and, when COVID protocols eventually allow, in person.
Miracle Moments Program
Miracle Moments is an expansion of AFH’s existing hospital visit program. With the support of Children’s Miracle Network (CMN), AFH Member Athletes will be virtually connected to children in hospitals nationwide allowing them to spread joy through various types of opportunities.
Working with CMN offers AFH and its Member Athletes an unprecedented level of impact and opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children in the communities where athletes live and play. To learn more about Children’s Miracle Network, visit CMNHospitals.org.
