Tony DiCicco

BIOGRAPHY

Tony DiCicco was born in Wethersfield, Connecticut. He graduated from Springfield College with a degree in physical education and received his master's degree in physical education from Central Connecticut State University. DiCicco played five years of professional soccer in the American Soccer League and later for the U.S. National Team. He was the third head coach in the history of the U.S. Women's National Team program, taking over in 1994, and establishing a winning percentage of .899, the best ever in U.S. Soccer history. DiCicco and his wife have four sons. He is currently the head coach of the WPS Boston Breakers.

Athletic Achievements
  • In 1996, led the U.S. team to the first-ever gold medal in Olympic women's soccer
  • From 1995-1996, his team owned the U.S. Women's Cup with first place finishes
