Seth Stammler

BIOGRAPHY

Seth Stammler was born in 1981 in Gahanna, Ohio. In addition to starring on the soccer team, Seth served as the place kicker for his high school football team. From Gahanna, he went on to the University of Maryland, where he captained the Terrapins for three years and graduated with a degree in Finance and Marketing. Selected 18th overall in the 2004 MLS SuperDraft, Seth plays defense and midfield for the New York Red Bulls. He founded his own charitable organization, the Sporting Chance Foundation, after participating in a service trip to Haiti with musician Wyclef Jean and two teammates in 2006. He was named the Red Bulls USSF Humanitarian of the Year in 2007, thanks to his efforts to provide clean water and educational programs for Haitians.

  • Captained and started in every game over his sophomore, junior and senior years at Maryland
