USATF Visits Rady's Children HospitalOn Wednesday, January 11th, 2012 USATF members Melinda Owen, Trey Hardee and Miller Moss met with the Rady’s Children Hospital of San Diego. Each athlete has worked similar events before but this was their first time visiting Rady’s together. During their visit, they spent time with patients and talked to them about their experiences as Olympic athletes. While there, they entertained patients by signing autographs, telling stories and handing out AFH gear to the patients. The boys and girls really enjoyed the time they spent their and are already looking forward to their next visit. Rady’s Children Hospital mission is to sustain and enhance the health and developmental potential of children through excellence in care, education, research and advocacy. As San Diego has grown, so has their commitment to offering comprehensive care to the community's children. Rady’s is the counties only hospital dedicated solely to pediatrics and the region's designated pediatric trauma center. Parents and children come to Rady Children's from across the country to see our nationally renowned physicians. And our focus on research and innovation is helping our patients to receive state-of-the-art care. |
