Raquel Ferreira Caulkins

BIOGRAPHY

Raquel Ferreir was born on August 10, 1982 In Minas Geras, Brazil. She began her collegiate career at Barton Community College in Kansas, where she her school to the NJCAA National Tournament title in her freshman season. She transferred to Concordia University, where she led the team to the national championship match. Concordia had previously recorded just one winning season in school history prior to 2004. After her finishing her career at Concordia, Raquel joined the AVP Crocs Beach Volleyball Tour in 2006. She took a break during the 2007 and 2008 seasons, during which time she returned to Concordia to serve as a Graduate Assistant for the volleyball team. In 2009, Raquel competed in 45 matches on the AVP Tour. She resides in Hermosa Beach, California.

  • 2004 AVCA NAIA Volleyball Player of the Year
  • Chosen as the MVP of the NJCAA National Tournament
  • AVCA first-team All-American her freshmen year at Barton
