Figure Skating

BIOGRAPHY

Nancy Kerrigan was born in Massachusetts and began ice skating when she was just six years old. By the time she reached her twenties, Kerrigan was one of the top skaters in the country. After the 1994 Olympic Games and a successful career, Nancy retired from figure skating. Shortly after, she married sports agent Jerry Solomon. Together the couple have three kids, a boy and two girls. Kerrigan toured with the Champions on Ice Tour for ten years and she also still skates periodically in special events. Since retiring, she has coauthored two books, Artistry on Ice and Nancy Kerrigan in My Own Words. Nancy has also hosted Nancy Kerrigan’s World of Skating. On this show she takes viewers to top skating events, amateur competitions, and charity programs to meet figure skating’s stars. She was a broadcaster for the 2006 Olympic Games in Turin. In 2007 she was named a national spokesperson for the Foundation Fighting Blindness.
