BIOGRAPHY

Mechelle Lewis (born September 20, 1980 in Fort Washington, Maryland) graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2002, and shortly after moving to New York in 2004, left her job as an account executive to follow her dream of becoming an Olympic Track and Field star. With a newfound sense of confidence Lewis made it to the Beijing 2008 Olympics and is a Track and Field World Champion. Lewis uses her life story to inspire people everywhere, and encourages others to take chances in life and move forward clinging to the hope of success. She recognizes the importance in life’s simple aspects, and believes that small actions can affect others in extraordinary ways.
