BIOGRAPHY

Mary Wineberg began her running career at the age of four, when she won the Block Party Street Race in her neighborhood in New York. She attended Walnut Hills High School in Cincinnati, Ohio and continued running on a collegiate level at the University of Cincinnati. Wineberg graduated from UC in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Education. Mary is a 2007 World Gold Medalist in the 4x400 Relay and a 2008 Olympic 4x400m Gold Medalist.

In 2009 she gave birth to her daughter and is now hoping to make it to the 2012 Olympic Games. She continues to train and is a volunteer coach at the University of Cincinnati. In her spare time she gives back to her community by speaking at various schools in the Cincinnati and surrounding area and serves as a role model to many.

Her achievements include:


* 2010 Inductee to the University of Cincinnati Hall of Fame

* 2010 Legacy Award Receipent for the Greater Cin/Northern Kentucky Women Sports Assoc.

* 2008 Receipent of the Prestigious Award of Excellence

* Celebrity Spokesperson for the 2008 March Of Dimes (Cincinnati)

* Advocate/Role Model for Girls on the Run- Cincinnati

* She owns 2 Golds, 1 silver and 1 Bronze Medal from vaious championship meets within track and field and she was ranked in the top 10 in the 400 meters in 2007 and 2008
