BIOGRAPHY

Mark Worrell was born in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida on March 8, 1983. He attended Florida International University where he was predominantly a starting pitcher. He was a member of the Gold Medal –winning USA Junior National Team in 2001. In June, 2008 Worrell was signed by the St. Louis Cardinals and made his major league debut on June 3. On December 4, 2008, he was traded to the San Diego Padres. After missing the 2009 season recovering from Tommy John surgery, Worrell signed a Minor League contract to remain with the Padres... Mark is currently pitching in the Baltimore Orioles farm system.
