BIOGRAPHY

Mark Hollis was born on January 12, 1984. A native of Freeport, Illinois, he attended Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Illinois. In each of his final two seasons at Olivet, Hollis won NAIA titles in pole vaulting. His personal best is a leap of 18 feet, 10 ¼ inches. Hollis continues to train full time, and hopes to make the 2012 U.S. Olympic team. He also coaches pole vaulting at Elkhart Memorial High School and at the University of Notre Dame.
