MacKenzie Hill

BIOGRAPHY

Hill started her career at the University of California Los Angeles. In 2004, Hill placed second in the 400m hurdles at the USATF Junior National Championships. Following this achievement, she was awarded Junior All-American honors. Shortly following this, she was named to the U.S. Junior National team. In 2005, Hill placed 22nd overall in the 400m at the NCAA Outdoor Championships. In 2006, at the NCAA Championships, she participated in the 4X100m and 4X400m relays. That same year, she made the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.

Hill is not the typical runner. She is a severe asthmatic and did not set foot on a track before her freshman year in high-school. Despite multiple trips to emergency rooms and very little experience, she has flourished as a successful athlete. Today, she continues to run in US Track and Field events while serving the communities around her.
