Luke Sassano and High School Soccer Team Help Out at Jubilee CenterNew York Red Bull player Luke Sassano has visited with children from the Jubilee Center several times throughout the last two months – although, Luke hasn’t done it all on his own. Through her aspirations to teach soccer and give back to young, underprivileged children, Celia Flynn and some of her HS soccer teammates have worked in tandem with Luke during his visits. During their time at the Center, Luke, Celia, and her teammates hung out with the kids and gave them pointers about how to pass, shoot and even head soccer balls. They have loved working with the kids and look forward to continuing their involvement throughout the rest of the summer! About The Jubilee Center The Jubilee Center was established to provide children in the Hoboken, New Jersey public housing neighborhood with a safe and fun after-school and summer alternative. Established as The Homework Club in 1996, The Jubilee Center expanded and moved to its new home in 2003, and has been helping over seventy students year-round since. The Center is also in operation during school breaks and holidays, and has been commended by former NJ State Senator Bernard Kenny Jr. as one of the city’s most important achievements in the past decade.
