Lindsay Tarpley

BIOGRAPHY

Lindsay Tarpley was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan. A standout high school athlete in both basketball and soccer, Lindsay went on to attend the University of North Carolina where she majored in communications and led the Tar Heels to a National Championship in 2003. One of the top players in youth U.S. women’s soccer national history, she has been a member of the U.S. National team since 2003. A member of both the 2004 and 2008 Olympic Gold medal teams, she was selected by the Chicago Red Stars of the WPS.

  • 3rd youngest player in U.S. soccer history to earn her 100th cap
  • Gold Medal at 2008 Beijing Olympics
  • MVP Four Nations Tournament 2008
  • Gold Medal at 2004 Athens Olympics
  • Scored in 2004 gold medal game against Brazil
  • Scored winning goal of 2002 FIFA U-19 World Championship
  • 2003 College Soccer Player of the Year
  • 2002 U.S. Soccer Chevrolet Young Female Player of the Year
  • Three Time-NCAA All Tournament Team
