November 15, 2008 - Alzheimer’s Awareness Night at Cleveland Cavaliers’ Game - Larry Nance receives Alzheimer’s Association Champion HonorIn recognition of National Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness month, Saturday, November 15 was Alzheimer’s Awareness Night at the Cleveland Cavaliers’ game. The Alzheimer’s Association Cleveland Area Chapter and Greater East Ohio Area Chapter partnered to raise awareness of this devastating disease. The highlight of the evening was a halftime presentation to Larry Nance. Nance, a retired Cleveland Cavalier, was honored as an Alzheimer’s Association Champion for his service to the Alzheimer’s Association. He recently participated in the annual Cleveland Memory Walk as well as personally offering special incentives to walkers in the Cleveland area. Nancy Udelson, Executive Director for the Cleveland Area Chapter, presented a trophy to Nance in appreciation for the commitment he has made to helping the Alzheimer’s Association achieve its vision of a world without Alzheimer’s disease. “We are very grateful to Larry Nance for being an active Champion of the Alzheimer’s Association as we seek to increase awareness of the disease and the services of the Association.” Udelson said.
