Olympian Mitzi Kremer hosts The Children’s Home at the Tampa YMCAChampion Olympic Swimmer Mitzi Kremer and the YMCA swimming club spent the day with kids from The Children’s Home at the Tampa YMCA. As a continuation from Mitzi’s last visit, this time the kids received another installment of personalized swimming lessons, participated in an inter-squad swim meet and capped the visit with free time in the pool. After a long afternoon of swimming, the kids from The Children’s Home and the YMCA swimming club were treated to a barbecue and were given a chance to the climb the YMCA rock wall. Needless to say, everyone had a great time! We look forward to seeing what Mitzi and The Children’s Home will do next! About The Children’s Home The Children’s Home has been an important part of the Tampa Bay community for over a century. Kids are given individual attention in order to help them grow up healthy and happy while the Home works hard to find “forever” families for all of them. With help from volunteers like Mitzi Kremer, the Children’s Home has been able to help their children as well as adoptive and foster care families, and the greater community at large.
