Angela Knopf Passes on her Passion for Volleyball

Angela Knopf took a break from her busy schedule with the AVP tour to visit the Jack, Will, & Rob Boys & Girls Club yesterday afternoon. The visit gave Angela the opportunity to speak to over 50 kids about her experience in professional volleyball and the life lessons she has learned from the game. After the meet and greet, Angela hosted a volleyball clinic to teach the youth some new skills in the sand. The kids were thrilled to have the opportunity to learn about the game from a professional and were excited to engage with Angela. It was a wonderful first visit to the Jack, Will, & Rob Boys & Girls Club. Angela looks forward to another visit soon so she can pass on her passion for volleyball and working with youth.

About the Jack, Will, & Rob Boys & Girls Club

Since 1946, Boys & Girls Clubs of Portland has been providing thousands of young people throughout the Portland metro area with affordable, high-quality after-school and summer programs designed to help them develop the qualities needed to become responsible citizens and leaders. Our Clubs offer kids what they want most: safe, clean, fun places to go when they’re not in school; caring adults who respect and guide them; and challenging programs that teach them life skills and keep them engaged in productive activities.

Located in Camas, this Club has a state-of-the-art technology center, music studio and art studio. In collaboration with both the Camas School District and Washougal School District, local youth ages 6–18 can take part in a host of after school programs. In addition to wonderful after school opportunity this Club offers a variety of summer camps and drop in programs.
