Keeley Dowling

BIOGRAPHY

Hailing from Carmel, Indiana, defender Keeley Dowling has been playing soccer for her entire life. She starred at the University of Tennessee as an undergraduate from 2001 to 2004, while also participating in the US U-19 National Team, which captured the title at the 2002 FIFA Under-19 Women’s World Championship. She played Club Soccer for Charlotte’s Lady Eagles before moving to Sweden’s Damallsvenskan and playing for KIF Orebro in 2006 and 2007. She was selected for Sky Blue FC in the second-round of the WPS general draft, and was the 8th pick overall.

Athletic Achievements
  • Earned NSCAA All-American status three times (first team in 2003 and 2004, second team in 2002)
  • Named the SEC Defensive Player of the Year in 2003 and 2004
  • Started all four matches when the U.S. U-21s captured the 2004 Nordic Cup title
