BIOGRAPHY

Kate MacKenzie was born in Novi, Michigan. Kate attended the University of Michigan and with no rowing experience, she joined the Michigan rowing team and soon became one of the sport’s leading individuals. She was recruited to join USA rowing, and was part of a gold medal team at the 2002 World Championships. She then would appear in the 2004 Olympics for the U.S. National Team. She retired from the U.S. National team in 2004 and now lives and works in New York City.
