October 15, 2008 – Preston Griffall coordinates for the Tooele Boys and Girls Club to attend luge clinic with USA Luge coach Jon Owen

On Wednesday, a group of lucky teens from the Juniors and Teens Program at the Tooele Boys and Girls Club got to try out a new sport – luge – with USA Luge Coach, Jon Owen.

Earlier this year, USA Luge Team Member, Preston Griffall taught a group of kids from the Sugarhouse Boys and Girls Club what it takes to be in the sport of luge. While Preston is off training and competing this fall, he arranged for coach Jon Owens to introduce the sport to even more kids at another local Boys and Girls Club.

After learning all the proper safety techniques, the teens were even able to get on the training sleds and take a few turns down the slide!
