Jeff Green

BIOGRAPHY

Jeff Green was born in 1986 and grew up in Cheverly, Maryland. After playing basketball at Northwestern High School in Hyattsville, Jeff attended Georgetown University, where he played for John Thompson III. He was drafted fifth overall in 2007 NBA Draft and currently plays for the Boston Celtics. During the offseason, Jeff continues to pursue his degree at Georgetown, where he focused on Sociology.

Athletic Achievements
  • Selected for the NBA All-Star T-Mobile Rookie Challenge in his Rookie and Sophomore year
  • Named to the NCAA All-America third team for the 2006-2007 season
  • Named Most Outstanding player of the NCAA Eastern Regional in 2007
  • Named Big East Player of the Year and Tournament MVP in 2007
  • Named All-Big East, Second Team in 2006, his sophomore year at Georgetown
  • Named National Freshman of the Year by Basketball Times, and Big East Co-Rookie of the Year in 2005
  • Led Northwestern High School to the Maryland 4A State Championship in 2004
  • Named First Team All-Met by the Washington Post after his senior season
