February 2008 - Jay Demerit announces funds from his website will go to Cancer Research UK

Jay Demerit announced that his website, working in coordination with Just Giving, has raised £2,118.00 thus far and it’s just getting started! Just Giving is a foundation which seeks to “help ordinary people raise extraordinary amounts of money for the causes they care about.” Up to date, Just Giving has raised £239,135,581 for 429 charities. Jay Demerit, center back for Watford F.C. of England's Premier League, donates all proceeds from his website to Cancer Research UK which is the world's leading independent organization dedicated to cancer research.
