Jackie StilesBIOGRAPHYJackie Stiles was born in Kansas City, Kansas. The oldest of four children, she played basketball in addition to running track and cross country at Clafin High School in Clafin, Kansas. She went on to star for Lady Bears of Southwest Missouri State University (now known as Missouri State). After graduation, Stiles was selected 4th overall by the Portland Fire of the WNBA. A series of injuries affected her promising career, and Jackie retired in 2004. Jackie currently runs her own company, which focuses on personal training, basketball lessons, motivational speaking and sports broadcasting. Athletic Achievements
- WNBA Rookie of the Year
- Selected to the 2001 WNBA All-Star team
- Scored 3,393 points in her collegiate career, becoming the all-time leading scorer in NCAA women’s basketball
- Named Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year three times
- Won the Wade Trophy as the best woman’s basketball player, and the Broderick Cup for best female collegiate athlete in 2001
- Scored 1,062 points in her senior year, becoming the only woman to score over 1,000 points in a single collegiate season
- Led the Lady Bears to the NCAA Final Four in 2001
- Became the leading career scorer in Kansas High School basketball, for both men and women
