November 3, 2007 – Houston Dynamo Players attend KaBOOM! Playground Build
Eric Ebert, Jordan James, Brian Ching and Mike Chabala of the Houston Dynamo teamed up with KaBOOM! and Bank of America to build a playground in one day and participate in the ribbon cutting ceremonies.

KaBOOM! volunteers got going at 8:00am and by 2:30pm, the new playground at Sen-Niños Charter School was complete. During the Ribbon Cutting ceremony, Mike Chabala spoke to the volunteers and the gathered crowd about the wonderful work KaBoom! is doing in the communities and the importance of all kids having a place to play.

About KaBOOM!
KaBOOM! is a national nonprofit organization that envisions a great place to play within walking distance of every child in America. The organization rallies communities to achieve better public policy, funding and public awareness for increased play opportunities nationwide; provide resources, including trainings, challenge grants, and publications for communities that wish to plan a new playspace on their own; and bring together children, business and community interests for a select number of community playspace builds each year. KaBOOM! Is headquartered in Washington, D.C., and also has offices in Chicago, Atlanta and San Mateo, California. Nearly a thousand community-built playgrounds, skateparks and sports fields have been built.
