BIOGRAPHY

Garrett Olson was born in Fresno, California in 1983 and attended Buchanan High School in Clovis, CA. He went on to pitch for Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. He was drafted 48th overall by the Baltimore Orioles in 2005, and made his Major League debut on the 4th of July, 2007. On January 18th, 2009, Garrett was traded to the Chicago Cubs.

• Baltimore Orioles Minor League Player of the Year in 2006
• Big West Conference All-Star Starting Pitcher in 2005
• Summer League All-American as a pitcher for the Anchorage Bucs of the Alaskan Summer League in 2004
