Fatimoh Muhammed Running BIOGRAPHY
Fatimoh Muhammed was born on January 23, 1984 in Ayetoro, Nigeria. She attended Ebenezer Grammar School where she competed in soccer and track as a prep. As a student at Ebenezer, she won the 800 at the Nigerian Secondary School Games, the U-18 Championships in 2000 and was named Ebenezer Grammar School’s Best Athlete of the year. She fist attended Gardner-Webb University and later transferred to UTEP where she ran cross country and track and field. She graduated from UTEP in the spring of 2007 with a management degree.
Athletic Achievements
- NCAA All-American, taking fifth in the 800 at the 2006 NCAA Outdoor Championships
- Three-time NCAA Championship qualifier in the 800 at the outdoor championships
- Ranks fourth in the outdoor 800 (2:05.28) and fourth indoors (2:07.23) in the UTEP record books
- Holds the Nigerian indoor national record in the 800 (2:07.23)
- 2010 30th Annual St. Pstricks Day 10K &2/4Miles San Diego, California
- 2010 San Dieguito Half Marathron & 5K run/Walk, San Diego California
- 2009 PureFitness Run for the Hungry 5K Champion, san Diego California
- 2008 African Championship in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – finalist
- 2007 All-African Games in Algeria – Finalist
- 2007 World Championships in Osaka, Japan
- University of Texas Track & Field Team Member, 2003-2007, Team Captain 2006-07
- All-American Honors in the 800m Event, both Indoor and Outdoor, 2006-2007
- University of Texas El Paso - Outdoor 800m Record Holder, 2007
- Liberian National Record Holder both Indoor and Outdoor 2:01.89
- Woman’s Cross Country Athlete of the week, both in cross country and track, 2006
