On March 10, Athletes for Hope’s first ever DC-area event, called DC Sports for Good, took place at Buffalo Billiards in Dupont Circle. Throughout the night “Pros” competed against “Joes” in various bar games including pool, darts, shuffleboard, and the Wii while AFH highlighted the impactful charity work that each of the athletes are doing in the community. The fun-filled evening, which started at 6:00, was packed by 6:30. The event was officially over at 9:00, with much of the crowd staying well past 10:30. All of the proceeds benefit Good Game, which uses sport as a platform to inspire and teach young athletes a unique set of skills that they can translate to making a difference in their communities.
