WPS Player, Nancy Goffi, Continues Her Work with Genesis Home

On Saturday, February 27, 2010, WPS player Nancy Goffi put on a soccer clinic in the Raleigh/Durham, NC area for kids living at the Genesis Home, an agency working to end homelessness for families with children and young adults by providing housing and supportive services to foster independence. Since 1989, the agency has provided a safe, stable place where families can come together, rebuild their lives, and prepare for permanent housing in the community.

The kids were excited to have the chance to work and interact with a professional soccer player and showed a lot of enthusiasm and energy throughout the morning. Nancy worked on various ball skills and taught them the importance of working together as a team. The kids had a great time and are looking forward to their next chance to work with Nancy, who planning on putting on a soccer clinic at the Genesis Home once a month.
