October 7, 2008 - Chris Wingert of Real Salt Lake Visits Boys and Girls Club of Greater Salt Lake

Chris Wingert, a starting defender for Real Salt Lake, has visited the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Salt Lake many times throughout the summer and fall. In June, Chris held a soccer clinic for boys and girls around the area. In his clinic, Chris taught children how to pass, shoot and even head soccer balls.

Chris has returned to the Boys and Girls Club throughout July, August and September and the kids just love having him stop by. Each time Chris speaks to them and answers all their questions, and of course signs lots of autographs.

Starting in October, Chris is working with the club to create a Homework Power Hour incentive program for the kids, and will be a part of the award for the kids who do the best job of focusing on their homework at the Club.
