February 2, 2008 - Chris Draft and The Chris Draft Family Foundation host annual “Draft Day”

On February 2, St. Louis Rams star Chris Draft and The Chris Draft Family Foundation hosted “Draft Day” which helps attendees to “Get Checked and Get Fit.” The annual half-day camp focused on educating families on living healthy lifestyles. The camp offered guidance to 125 local youth, ages 10-18, and their parents from professional athletes, food and nutrition experts as well as fitness specialists. This year’s event was held at the NFL YET (Youth Education Town) Center in Atlanta, Georgia. The YET initiative is aimed at positively impacting youth in often-troubled neighborhoods, and each center is specifically designed to meet the needs of the community. Other NFL participants included: Washington Redskins Cornerback Leigh Torrence, Detroit Lions Wide Receiver Troy Walters, Carolina Panthers Wide Receiver Keary Colbert and Arizona Cardinals Coach Billy Davis.
