Chasity Melvin of the Washington Mystics meets with Girls, Inc.On July 13th, Washington Mystics basketball player, Chasity Melvin dropped in at the Ft. Davis Recreation Center and met with thirty Girls Inc. members. During her time with Girls Inc., Chasity led an open discussion, focusing on what it takes to be a successful young woman and her own experience as a woman basketball player. After answering a number of excellent questions from the Girls Inc. members, Chasity signed autographs for each of the girls in attendance. And, to wrap up the visit, Chasity and the thirty girls headed to the gym where they partook in basketball drills and games. Everyone had a wonderful time and looks forward to the next visit! This is only the beginning of the relationship for Girls Inc. and the Mystics. On Wednesday, July 15th, following the Mystics home game against the San Antonio Stars, Girls Inc. will participate in basketball clinic on the Verizon Center floor with the assistance of a handful of Mystics players.
