Charlotte MayorkasBIOGRAPHYCharlotte Mayorkas was born in San Diego, California and started playing golf when she was nine. In addition to playing tennis, Charlotte was, for four years, the top player on the men’s Varsity Golf team at Hilltop High School in Chula Vista, California. She went on to attend the University of California, Los Angeles and graduated with a degree in History. Mayorkas turned professional in 2005 and qualified for the LPGA Tour on her second attempt. Athletic Achievements
- Won two events, finished best in scoring average and second on the Duramed Futures Tour Money List in 2006, earning exemption status for the 2007 LPGA tour
- Finished in the top ten four times on the Duramed Futures Tour in 2005
- Became the first UCLA golfer to be selected to the NCGA All-America First Team three times (2003, 2004, 2005)
- Named All-Pac-10 First Team in 2003, 2004 and 2005
- Led the UCLA Bruins to the 2004 NCAA Championship
- Selected as the 2004 Pac-10 Player of the Year
- Won the 2004 Individual Women’s Pac-10 Championship
- Named All-League twice in her high school career
- Led her high school’s Boy’s Golf team to the 2001 league title
