Cat Whitehill

BIOGRAPHY

Catherine (Reddick) Whitehill was born in Birmingham, Alabama. She was one of the top high school soccer players in the country and when on to attend the University of North Carolina. She graduated in 2004 with a degree in communications from the University of North Carolina. Cat has been a member of the US women’s national soccer team since 2000. Cat married Robert Whitehill in 2005. She was selected by the Washington Freedom of Women's Professional Soccer in 2008.

Athletic Achievements:
  • Gold Medal at the 2004 Athens Olympics
  • Team finished third at the 2007 FIFA World Cup
  • Named the 2003 U.S. Soccer Chevrolet Young Female Athlete of the Year
  • NCAA National Championships in 2000, 2000, and 2003 at UNC
  • National Player of the Year as Senior, winning the Honda Award and the M.A.C Hermann Trophy
