Byron Mouton

BIOGRAPHY

Byron King Mouton was born on April 29, 1978 in Rayne, Louisiana. He attended Rayne High School where he was ranked as one of the top 25 basketball recruits as a senior. Mouton went on to play for Tulane University for two years, after which he transferred to the University of Maryland. As a senior in 2002, he helped the Terps win the NCAA National Title and was named Honorable Mention All-ACC. Mouton founded 6th Man Skill Development, an organization dedicated to developing kids into strong players by teaching them the fundamentals of sports. This organization also aims to instill values such as teamwork and dedication in the children to help them rise to the next level. Mouton now plays for the Maryland Greenhawks, the first green professional sports team.
