The Breakers visit the Boston Children's Hospital

On June 16th, 2009, following a physically demanding Tuesday practice, a handful of Boston Breakers took a timeout from the soccer season and spent the afternoon giving back to the local community. Sue Weber, Kelly Schmedes, Ashley Phillips, and Maggie Tomekca traveled from the locker room to the Boston Children’s Hospital play room, where they met with the young patients waiting to receive treatment. During the visit, the Breakers talked with the kids, created arts and crafts, and distributed Breakers’ gear to all of the kids.

Not surprisingly, the kids from the Children’s Hospital had a great time and look forward to the next visit from the Breakers!
