NBA D-League player David Berghoefer Shares his Passion for AnimalsAs part of the United Day of Caring, Bakersfield Jam center David Berghoefer served the Madison community by working with the Dane County Humane Society’s mobile adoption event to help the animals staying at the shelter find a loving, permanent home. David played with the animals and helped people understand the benefits of adopting a new pet. The Bakersfield Jam center’s presence was felt at the event as he also helped spread the word about all the wonderful things that the humane society does. The Madison native enjoyed giving back to the community he grew up in. After the event, he spoke about his experience: "Anytime I can help out the community I feel an overwhelming joy. But to be able to do it on September 11th, a day that we witnessed the World change, means a lot to me. I enjoyed my time working with the Madison Humane Society on this day, and giving back to such a great community."
