November 2008 - 10-Year-Olds Trade Birthday Gifts for Donations to Athletes for Hope

Alec and his friend Justin from Bedford, Massachusetts recently hosted a joint 10th birthday party. This year, they asked all of their friends to give donations to a worthy cause in lieu of gifts. As the boys and their friends are all avid athletes and fans, Alec and Justin agreed that Athletes for Hope would be a great organization for which to contribute. They purchased AFH Tags to give out as party gifts and encouraged friends to bring checks or donate online. Overall the boys helped raise more than $600 dollars for Athletes for Hope!

We are honored that these wonderful boys selected Athletes for Hope as their cause of choice, and are thrilled to hear that the work our athletes are doing in the community is inspiring the next generation! Thank you Alec and Justin – you inspire us as well!
