Olympic Synchronized Swimming Champion, Alison Bartosik, jumps back into the water with KEEN

Last Sunday morning, June 21, 2009, while most of San Francisco was still waking up, AFH member Alison Bartosik was headed to the pool. However, unlike hundreds of previous trips, this commute was for the benefit of a young adult swimmer that Alison had never met. For the 2009 summer, Alison has committed her time and energy to work with KEEN San Francisco’s aquatics program, a unique program that provides one-to-one recreational opportunities for children and young adults with mental and physical disabilities. Alison will teach children and young adults valuable swimming basics and provide a recreational outlet that many KEEN participants normally don’t have.
