Ann Marie Saccurato
BIOGRAPHY
Ann Marie Saccurato is from White Plains, New York and was born on January 1, 1978. After intensive rehabilitation following a devastating car accident, Saccurato, who was not expected to ever walk again, went on to play basketball and volleyball for Seton Hall University. In 1999 she began a career as an amateur boxer, and received a silver medal in the 2000 USA Boxing National Championships. In 2001 she won the New York and US National Golden Gloves competitions. Saccurato made her pro boxing debut on May 24, 2002 at Wonderland Ballroom in Revere, Massachusetts. Ann Marie is the current and 3 time WBC Lightweight World Champion and is ranked #1 in the world. In addition to training she works full-time as a personal trainer for a company that provides physical therapy, rehabilitation, and performance training to athletes, after-care patients and the general public.
