AVP Player Angela Knopf Shares Her Love of Horses on MLK DayLoveland, CO- On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, beach volleyball star Angela Knopf used her love of horses to give back to her community by assisting the staff at the Hearts and Horses Therapeutic Riding Center. During her time at the center, Angela worked with a local man who is using equine therapy to help him recover from cancer. Angela was one of thirty-five athletes from across the country who volunteered in honor of Martin Luther King Day. Angela volunteered with Hearts and Horses just days after helping them to raise nearly $1,700 in the Race for a Cause Campaign. Angela grew up with horses and appreciates the great work Hearts and Horses is doing. Angela said about working with the organization and its horses, “it's so fun to work with horses again and to see the impact and transformations they are having on people with disabilities and troubled youth”. Angela looks forward to her continued involvement with Hearts and Horses before the AVP season begins again in March.
