LOUISVILLE, KY (September 8, 2008) … Stedman Graham, author, educator and entrepreneur, conducted a Who Are You? Leadership Development Program for student athletes at the Muhammad Ali Center on Saturday, September 6. The inspirational workshop included Graham’s program that is based on his book, Who Are You? A Success Process for Building Your Life’s Foundation (Hay House, 2005), a panel discussion with some of the region’s most highly-regarded sports figures, and a book signing by Graham.

The event incorporated educational components on leadership and living skills which are the basis for academic and workforce success. It helped participants understand the process of how to go beyond one’s sport to reach their potential and be the greatest they can be. Graham’s presentation was followed by a panel discussion. Moderated by Diane McGraw, Executive Director of the Greater Louisville Sports Commission, the panel featured notable Louisville sports figures Lancaster Gordon, Mike Deboor and Tori Murden-McClure.

The vision of the Who Are You? Program - “to positively change the lives and futures of youth, and inspire them to become productive members of a new generation that will impact their community, their city, and nation” – strategically aligns with the Ali Center’s mission “to inspire adults and children everywhere to be as great as they can be.”

“It is only fitting for the Muhammad Ali Center to partner with Stedman on such a motivating program for high school athletes,” says Greg Roberts, President and CEO for the Muhammad Ali Center. “This inspiring message is a transferrable one and can really make a difference in the lives of our area’s young athletes. Muhammad himself started boxing at 12 years old and has, for many years since then, used his athletic fame as a platform for achieving greatness beyond his sport.”

Graham says, “Knowing who you are and feeling good about yourself is what will give you the strength to achieve your greatest potential. When people are truly focused and engaged, they become the master of their destiny. They are truly free.”

Stedman Graham has partnered with CVS/Pharmacy Pathways to Pharmacy to bring his Who Are You? program covering topics of aiming high and overcoming adversity to high school students across the country. Pathways to Pharmacy, part of a partnership with America’s Promise – The Alliance for Youth, is a nationwide internship program that helps disadvantaged youth take a first step in a pharmacy career. ### Muhammad Ali Center is a cultural attraction and international educational center that is inspired by the ideals of Muhammad Ali.
